WINDS OF CHANGE MID WEEK
Written By: Scott Hetsko
As the calendar progresses through Autumn, we expect stronger low pressure systems and thus more wind the next 5 months. As the Northern Hemisphere receives less solar radiation, the difference in temperature between the North Pole and the Equator grows much larger! This difference is the fuel for storms during Fall and Winter. You'll feel an example of this on Wednesday as a powerful cool front plows through in the morning hours. Steady winds over 25 mph with gusts over 40 mph are likely Wednesday afternoon and evening.
