CLOUDY, WET OCTOBER IN ROCHESTER

October started cool and abnormally cloudy for the first two thirds of the month. We had about 25% of possible sunshine well below normal for a usual October. Only 3 days the entire month would be defined as "sunny" or over 80% sunshine for the day. The average monthly temperature was 48.2 degrees about 2 degrees below normal. Mid month saw minor snowfall mainly in the hills South of Rochester.
