THANKSGIVING & BLACK FRIDAY FORECAST
Written by: Brian Neudorff
Our Thanksgiving looks to be fairly quiet but it should remain gray and a few scattered showers are possible late in the day and evening. This will also bring that stretch of some mild November days to an end. We will still be above average for Thanksgiving but colder air will arrive Friday.
A storm system is still expected to form and strengthen off the eastern coast of the United States later today and Friday. This will also allow colder air to flow into Western New York for Friday and the weekend. The good news is that this doesn't look to be the snow maker we thought it would. Some places in New York state will see snow but most will fall in Northern New York with a possible coating to a slushy couple inches in the higher elevations in the southern Tier and the mountains of Pennsylvania Friday and Friday night.
If you are going out for Black Friday, take an umbrella, a warmer coat and of course patience and some common courtesy for those around you. Then you will be prepared for whatever the day may bring as you go hunting for the best deal of the season.
