THANKSGIVING TRAVEL WEATHER

Written by: Brian Neudorff

This is the biggest travel day of the year as people either head home or head to family for the Thanksgiving holiday. If you plan on driving to your destination around the northeast and New York State weather doesn't look bad. Clouds with just a few light rain showers will be around through the Thanksgiving holiday.

If you are flying there might be a few places that could see delays related to weather. All morning I have been monitoring the Flight Delay Information - Air Traffic Control System Command Center. This shows a map of all the current airport hubs and delays they may be facing and why.

It appears most of the morning the delays have been around Newark, NJ and Philadelphia, PA. This has been due to low clouds and some of the waits have been around an hour. If you are flying best advice is to call your carrier and check on your flight. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
