WE COULD BE BREAKIN' RECORDS!

No, this is not the same image as yesterday. Similar though. I posted this to show you not only the consistency of the forecast 850mb temperatures Friday and Saturday of next week, but of the INCREASE in warmth further north.
As seen by the color legend at the bottom, we are comfortably in a range of 59-68 degrees F a mile and a half above the surface. Under ideal conditions this could easily translate to upper 70s or even 80s in our area. And those ideal conditions could be met: bright sun, dry air, some wind, and downsloping.
Right now, I've put in a forecast of 79 on Friday, 80 on Saturday, and 76 on Sunday. Confidence runs high right now. A lot of this has to do with the west coast trough/east coast ridge setup that we usually see in the middle of the summer.
Now those are the kind of records I like to see broken!! It never gets too warm.
ReplyDeleteBring on the heat!
ReplyDeletesounds like hype to me
ReplyDeleteNo hype. Computer models and the National Weather Service all indicate 80 for our area.
ReplyDeletethen how come The Weather Channel is only saying 64 for Friday and 62 for Saturday?
ReplyDeleteIf there is an unreliable, generic forecast it is TWC. The only thing they are good for is general trends. For specifics they are laughable, especially here with the crazy microclimate.
