WHY TALK COLD WHEN WE GOT SUN

Written by: Brian Neudorff

Reading Bob's blog post from over the weekend and he is talking cold and possible snow. I may have already shut that part of my brain down for the year especially after last Thursday's high of 61. That BBQ really tasted and smelt good.

If you are one of those that wants that last big snow, you're still going to have to wait. Looks like once the current storm system off the Mid-Atlantic coast exits an are of high pressure moves in and replaces our cloudy, brisk Monday with sunny and above average weather Tuesday through Saturday.

Bob is correct that Saturday, which is the Vernal Equinox at 1:32pm, could be near 60. At least at this point in the forecast. I know I'm ready to enjoy more sunshine and warmth. That last snow storm was fun but now that I've had my taste of Spring I want more.

  1. What's cool is that we just need another week or so of mild temps to get rid of the remaining snow piles that ugly up big parking lots this time of year. That's the point when I can consider us officially rid of all traces of winter. Thereafter, any little snow that we MIGHT get, won't really contrubute much this time of year. I still am amazed how abruptly winter shut off this March, just like it did last year. Two years in a row of that is odd. Scott or Brian: What happened to cause winter cold to flat out end so early? Is it because the AO was so darn negative this winter that it literally exhausted all the cold?
