RECORD SHORT SNOW SEASON IN ROCHESTER

Written by: Bob Metcalfe

An interesting statistic here. Provided we don't see any more measurable snow this year (which we won't) this will be the shortest snowfall season in Rochester history. That means the difference between the first measurable snow and the last measurable snow was shorter than ever. And who said winter felt long?!

This is also the first time ever that March was snowless in Rochester (its official now!) It was obviously also the first time it was snowless in November and March. So needless to say, we accomplished a big feat this winter, yet still stood at about average for the season. That means that Dec/Jan/Feb were fairly productive. It may not have seemed like it to you, but a lot of our snow came in small nickel-and-dime amounts here and there.
