SUMMER IN FULL FORCE THIS WEEKEND!
Written By: Scott Hetsko
It's interesting to watch the evolution of a weather system over a weeks worth of time. High pressure is centered over Iowa this evening and will slowly drift Eastward the next few days. This high will be responsible for many clear days ahead in the Northeast.
We'll be on the East side of that high through Thursday which means cooler than average temperatures with low humidity. Once that ridge center passes East on Friday, more humidity and warmth will build into our region. Temperatures will soar into the 80s Saturday.
The only thing preventing 90 degrees this weekend would be the amount of ground moisture still around. The sun will work on drying out the ground rather than heating the ground which means upper 80s and possibly 90 Sunday and Monday.
