Cooler Builds in Tomorrow & Saturday, BUT...

Written by John DiPasquale:

Cooler, but still mild through much of this Thursday. It will turn cooler during the afternoon, though, behind a cold front due to pass through around lunchtime. Highs will be between 55 & 60 before falling back into the upper 40s to around 50 by days end today with a brisk north-northeast breeze. There is also a slight risk for a shower/sprinkle late today & early tonight.

High pressure will build in later tonight into Friday from the West & Northwest & provide a good deal of sun & a chilly northerly flow. Highs on Friday, despite the sun will only reach the mid to upper 40s after starting in the low to mid 30s.

That same area of high pressure building in for Friday will make itself at home this weekend & set the stage for a very cold Friday night into early Saturday. Lows early Saturday will be in the mid 20s for most! Brrr...!!! With nothing but sun & blue sky, the temperatures will top out near 50 Saturday afternoon.

Sunday will also start off frosty, but as the morning progresses a south-southwest flow will develop in the wake of a warm front & on the backside of high pressure to the East. The combination of the warming breeze, & abundant sun once again will push readings well into the 60s Sunday afternoon! Yes, FALL, not spring, FEVER will be felt across much of the Northeast Sunday afternoon!

At this point, it actually looks like we will stay unseasonably mild in the upper 50s to possibly mid 60s right through at least next Tuesday with a cloud sun blend, but it should remain mainly dry! Whoo-Hoo!! Even, though, I am a snow lover I will take this great stretch, because we all know what's around the corner, & usually the big hammer drops after such a nice stretch this time of year. So we will see what possibly follows this great weather stretch mid to late this month...

Have a great day WNY!

  2. Maybe mid to late November, but again it's still way too far out there to get excited about it. By mid to late next week we will have a much better handle on the potential pattern change, if it's going to occur. Have a great weekend & enjoy the sweet weather weatherdan!
