November is Back
Written by John DiPasquale:
The November feel, along with the lake effect is back. After the last two days of almost 70 degree weather here in Rochester with sun, today will feature more clouds, a brisk wind & a spotty shower/sprinkle, but for the most part many of us will be dry today. However, areas Southwest of Rochester will have to contend with some showers off Lake Erie on a chilly west-southwest flow. Any rain showers will mix with, if not change to snow as colder air oozes in from the West. Temperatures today will hover in the mid to upper 40s, with wind chills near 40. Brrr!!
Tonight should be pretty quiet for most of us, including the Rochester area, with just a couple of spotty snow & rain showers around. Across Wyoming, Southern Livingston counties there could be a slushy minor accumulation of lake snow.
On Friday, Veteran's Day, a trough will swing through & produce a scattering of snow showers mixed with rain & behind the trough the winds will shift into more of a west-northwest direction setting us up for a bit of lake snow mixed with rain Friday afternoon & evening, but it should not be a big deal. No accumulation is expected, except maybe a little coating on top of some of the hills.
The upcoming Veteran's Day weekend will be nicer with some sun developing Saturday after maybe an early shower/flurry. It will be windy throughout the weekend, but at least it will turn milder with highs in the low to maybe 50s Saturday afternoon. The tail end of the weekend should consist of more clouds, & a shower or two late, but most of Sunday & the weekend should be dry! Highs on Sunday will probably climb up to around 60.
After a fairly mild start to next week, it appears that some much colder air will try to blow in later next week with maybe a bit of snow. We'll see.
Have a great day all!
I hope so, this is getting boring.
