One Last Summery Day for Awhile

Written by John DiPasquale:

Last day of the summer preview in early spring will be today. Highs today will range from 75 to 80 with a good deal of sun mixing with more clouds to finish the day, as a cold front drifts through late. There may even be a shower/storm that pops late today/early tonight, but for the most part no one will see this.

In the wake of the cold front, it will turn a bit cooler tonight with a shower or two possible. Come our Friday, it will be breezy & noticeably cooler under quite a few clouds & a spotty shower or two may affect some spots, especially during the morning. Highs on Friday will be back in the mid 60s, which is still about 20 degrees above average!

The weekend still looks kind of damp Saturday, as a surface & upper level storm slide to the south. A east flow through early Sunday will keep temperatures from rising much Saturday, as highs will likely struggle to make 60. On Sunday, the storm will begin to pull away & the flow may become more northwesterly & help dry us out some before the day is done, which may lead to a little sun toward sunset. Highs to end the weekend should range from 55 to 60. A STRONG cold front will likely then come flying through Sunday night/early Monday & drop readings we have not felt in some time to start next week. Highs on Monday may struggle to reach the low 40s with some sun & a gusty north-northwest wind. I would not even be surprised if there were some lake flurries south of the lake, especially east into CNY on Monday! Regardless if we see any flurries, the big story early next week looks to be the BIG CHILL. Stay tuned.

Have a great day bloggers!
