Record Breaker Today, & Near Record Warmth Thursday

EURO 850 mb forecast for next Friday night. Colder for sure before April...

Written by John DiPasquale:

Record warmth easily today, for the third time this month in Rochester! We will be near a record high Thursday, but likely fall a little short despite being up around 80 for a high at the airport, & even a little warmer than that south.

A cold front will slide through late Thursday/early Thursday night & cool us off into the 60s to near 70 for Friday with quite a few clouds expected to end the week. There may be a passing shower/storm late Thursday & Thursday night with the front, but for the most part it will remain dry until Saturday when an upper level storm will likely trigger some showers Saturday & maybe a few lingering ones Sunday. Temperatures should range from the mid 50s to low 60s over the weekend, with the coolest day being Sunday thanks to a east-northeast flow & a cooler air mass overhead.

Monday may end being the coolest day of the next several before we try to warm back up for a day or two come the middle of next week. We'll see...

Have a great day & enjoy the summery warmth in the meantime everyone!

  1. Winter may not be done yet. You have heard in like a lamb and out like a lion keep an eye on the weekend of the 31st.

  2. Normally I would agree with Dave. But since this year is anything but normal, I say stick a fork in it, it's done.
