Impressive Weather

The Spring-time months here in western New York are consistently inconsistent, with wild temperature swings. Yesterday and today were no different.
Monday's high of 87 degrees broke the old record of 85 set back in 2002. We had a lot of sun into the afternoon, and a strong southwesterly wind, allowing downsloping to help bumps our temperatures up even more. Despite a very strong cold front, most of us saw little more than quick showers as the front blew through, thanks to limited moisture in the airmass. However, temperatures behind the front fell drastically, with highs on Tuesday a good 30-40 degrees cooler than Monday.
With high pressure building in, temperatures are forecast to fall to near freezing yet again through most of WNY, and another Freeze Watch has been posted.
So, we go from 87 degrees to freezing in about 36 hours. You know the saying - "if you don't like the weather in Rochester, just wait 5 minutes," or in this case - about 36 hours.
