Sunshine & Spring Returns!

Check Spelling

Written by: Stacey Pensgen

The stubborn upper level low that's been spinning over the Northeastern U.S. for nearly a week will finally move off the coast and make way for some great weather to end the week!

Sunshine and a few puffy afternoon clouds will rule the rest of the day, and temperatures will return to seasonable levels, in the mid 50s for most.

Think Friday the 13th is unlucky? Think again - well, at least here in the weather department. Sun sticks around on Friday and we'll hit 60 degrees with high pressure directly overhead. Milder weather returns this weekend, with some 70 degree readings a good possibility, but we'll have to deal with a few showers and storms, as well.

Something of note - a Freeze Watch has been posted again for all of WNY for late tonight and early Friday morning with temperatures falling below freezing in many spots. Cover up those poor little flowers!

  1. This consistent NW wind has been a real downer for birders awaiting some good spring migration. Is there chance we'll be seeing some strong SW winds any time soon?

  2. Yes - we'll see a nice southwesterly flow this weekend and into Monday.
