Some Welcomed Showers on the Way
Written by John DiPasquale:
Wow! What a weekend it was. Hope you were able to get out & enjoy it bloggers. Yes, for those of you that don't like it too warm it was a little uncomfortable, I'm with you, but humidity levels were nice & low making it feel pretty comfy.
This week starts off nice, but there will be a few showers & storms moving in from the southeast off an area of low pressure moving up the Mid-Atlantic coast. We will contend with a limited amount of shower activity late this afternoon into the evening, but come Tuesday we will hold on to a few more showers & storms due to a weakening cold front sliding in & slowly through from the west. Tuesday will be far from a washout though, with plenty of dry time expected. After reaching the low 80s today, Tuesday's highs will be back in the 70s. The cold front will stall & slowly washout Tuesday night into Wednesday just off to the south, which will keep the threat for a few scattered showers & storms popping up later Wednesday, especially south closer to the dieing front/boundary. Wednesday's highs should rebound back into the low 80s or around 80.
Thursday & Friday, as we near the long holiday weekend for many, it appears summer will be flexing it's muscles once again with some sun both days, & a stiff southerly breeze with just a small chance for a few widely scattered showers & storms. Highs should make it well into the 80s both days, with an outside chance if we get enough sun & downsloping wind to maybe hit the 90 degree mark to end the week.
A cold front will attempt to come through late Friday night/Saturday morning with a few showers & storms & cool us off to more seasonable levels for much of the holiday weekend, unofficial start to summer.
Stay tuned for updates regarding the upcoming holiday weekend & whether or not it's going to cool off or stay very warm to hot.
I can't BELIEVE it is RAINING? When will the sun be back? Will this Winter ever end? ROCWhine
