Dry to Damp in Just a Few Days!

Written by John DiPasquale:

After a bone dry & sixth warmest May on record, June 2012 is starting off quite cool & wet!  The opposite of what May had to offer.

Low pressure slowly departing east bound off the New England coast will continue to slowly lose it's grip on us over the next few days, especially after today, but lingering low level moisture & day time heating should help set up a few showers/storm from time to time Tuesday through Thursday.  By the time Thursday rolls around, the shower activity should be very widely scattered, which is good news for the LPGA teeing off officially Thursday.  Temperatures will be unseasonably cool through Wednesday, before a more seasonable air mass evolves come Thursday & Friday with more in the way of some sun.

The weekend will then likely feature some more sun, but also a renewed threat of a few showers & storms with a cold front, Saturday or Sunday.  At this point, though, much of the weekend looks pretty dry, but the best day can't quite be determined.  Stay tuned for updatest throughout the week as new info comes in.
