Slow Warming Continues...

Written by John DiPasquale:

The weather will be pretty quiet up until Saturday, with just a few widely scattered showers & storms, 40% chance, later Thursday afternoon & evening, & again late Friday into Friday night.  Temperatures will climb into the mid 70s this afternoon, & should be up near 80 Friday afternoon.

The weekend will warm up even more so, but it's looking like Saturday will probably be a transition day with some showers & storms possible thanks to a disturbance riding along/out ahead of a warm front as displayed in the top picture.  Once the disturbance moves by Saturday night, the warm front will continue it's slow trek to the northeast, & should ultimately come through later Sunday/Sunday night.  This will lead to a warmer day with more sun expected Sunday, & then not too far away from 90 early next week with a good deal of sun Monday to boot.  Late Tuesday &/or Wednesday some showers & storms will begin rolling in from the west ahead & with a strong cold front, which should deliver a cooler, more refreshing air mass for the last half of next week.

Have a nice day & night WNY, & just keep an eye to the sky this afternoon & evening for those few scattered storms popping.

  1. Are we have going to get an extended period of warm dry weather this summer?
