Slow Warming Trend through the Weekend

Written by John DiPasquale:

Each day through Friday will feature a decent amount of sunshine, with temperatures slowly warming a bit more every day.  So by Friday we should be close to 80 for highs, likely cooler lakeside due to the influences of the 50 something degree waters of Lake Ontario.  There will also be a few scattered pop up showers/storm later Wednesday afternoon & again Thursday afternoon, but any shower activity should be far & few between with everyone dry for most of the time during the period.

Come the weekend it will warm even further, especially by Sunday, as a warm front tries to push through late Saturday/Sunday.  At this time, it appears that Saturday will be comfortable with clouds increasing & a few showers/storm developing later in the day into Saturday night ahead of the warm front.  Once the warm front crosses, which is looking more & more like Sunday it will turn warmer & a bit more humid for Sunday afternoon under some sun.  So if we don't make the 80s Saturday, we should do it Sunday based on the latest data that just came in midday Wednesday.  The best day of the weekend for outdoor activities right now appears to be Sunday.  Stay tuned.

Either way, it will likely turn pretty steamy for Monday & possibly Tuesday before it cools back off for the last half of next week, but the warm up is great news for those of you that own a pool or may have beach plans later in the weekend into the first part of next week.

Have a great day WNY!
