Slow Warming Trend Continues
Written by John DiPasquale:
Another beauty here in WNY on this Friday! Get out & enjoy the comfortably warm readings, because this weekend will turn a little less comfy, & then much of next week will likely become stifling! It will turn a bit warmer & more humid, but it will not be too bad with highs in the low to mid 80s & dew points in the upper 50s to low, maybe mid, 60s Sunday. The chances of rain this weekend will also be low, in the order of 20 to 30% during the afternoon/evening Saturday & Sunday.
High pressure controling the weather right now will, as mentioned over the last couple of blogs of mine the past two days will anchor itself across the Western Atlantic later this weekend & right through next week. The south-southwest winds will increase for Sunday into the beginning of next week, importing the increasing heat & humidity. Next Tuesday through Thursday/Friday we will likely feel the hottest air we've felt since last hot stretch last July. Pools & beaches will be packed, & I would not even be surprised if there were air quality alerts issued during the potential heat wave also. Stay tuned. The heat & steam should then break Friday night/Saturday, which will be very welcomed I believe by many by that time.
Have a great Friday & weekend everyone! Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there too!!
