Warmer Air Returns by Friday
Written by John DiPasquale:
Wow! After the 0.91" of rain from late Monday night through last evening here in Rochester, the rainfall total for the month of June now is 3.50", which is 2.24" above average through the first 12 days of the month!! The rewards for having to deal with so much rain so far this month will come over the next week or so, with no significant rains expected during the period, & a good deal of sun accompanying the much drier period. Enjoy everyone!
Cooler weather fans will love the weather through Thursday, but thereafter will be not so happy & comfy, especially this weekend into next week as temps climb well into the 80s to around 90.
The party responsible for the warm up ironically, will be the area of high pressure providing us with the comfortably cool weather today & Thursday. The strong area of high pressure will slide to the east & anchor itself for the weekend into much of next week with a southerly return flow on the backside of the system that will warm up significantly during the period. So if you have a pool you will be loving life starting Friday right into next week. Dad's the weather is looking mainly dry through the weekend with just a slight risk for a pop up shower/storm later Saturday & Sunday, but most will stay dry over the holiday weekend. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s Saturday, & mid to upper 80s Father's Day! Next week's temps will range from the mid 80s to low 90s with more humidity added to that.
Have a great Wednesday all!
