Clammy to Comfy Over Next 24 Hours

Written by John DiPasquale:

Scattered showers & storms will develop & move through this afternoon & evening with a few possibly turning severe amongst all the humidity in the air.  Once a cold front gets slowly through this evening the threat of showers & storms will end, & the air will begin to cool down & dry out significantly with a refreshing west to northwest breeze later tonight into our Wednesday.

Wednesday will be a real winner!  A good deal of sun, refreshing breeze & comfortably cool temps & humidity levels, as high pressure builds in from the north & west.  Enjoy the relief!

This same area of high pressure will essentially have a good grasp on the region for the rest of the week through the upcoming Father's Day weekend with just a slight risk for a pop-up shower/storm later Friday & maybe Saturday in a few spots.  Winds will also slowly shift around to the south, which will warm readings back into the 80s come Friday & the weekend.  So if you have plans with dad out & about, it looks a little warm, but not that humid & should be very cooperative!

Have a great day & keep an eye to the sky & News 8 with regards to those thunderstorms this afternoon & evening WNY.

  1. The sun is BACK! But why is it so COLD? Come on, how can it go from 40 to 90 then from 90 to 40? Will this winter ever end? ROCWhine
