Friday, June 1

Written by: Stacey Pensgen

We promised you rain this Friday, and we are delivering! As of noon, we recorded over a third of an inch of rain at the airport, and there is plenty more to come. A storm system off to our west is drawing in a LOT of moisture, and the moisture will continue to stream in through the overnight, coming down heavy at times as a cold front swings through. By Saturday morning, some spots will pick up 3/4" to as much as 1"+ of liquid.

The good news is that the bulk of the rain will be over with by the time you wake up on Saturday, with just a few hit or miss showers left. Most of the day Saturday will actually be ok, with intervals of sun and mainly dry weather. We'll find a better chance of more showers on Sunday, but nothing like Friday's weather. Have a great weekend, and let Mother Nature do the watering for you today!
