A Change in the Air By Week's End!

Written by John DiPasquale:

Unsettled at times later this afternoon & evening as cold front & low pressure move in from west.  A few lingering showers & storms will pop Wednesday thanks to some leftover low & mid level moisture combined with daytime heating Wednesday, but should clear nicely by late afternoon/evening for all.  This will set the stage for a nice & warmer Thursday in advance of the strongest cold front to come through here since the first part of June!  Some showers & storms will likely accompany the front late Thursday night through early Friday afternoon, before the coolest air since the first part of June begins to invade late Friday & especially later Friday night into Saturday.  Highs Thursday will be in the low to mid 80s, but come Friday readings will dip back into the 70s, & then we will probably struggle to make the low 70s by Saturday with a pretty stiff northwest breeze to boot!  Nightime lows could plunge into the upper 40s to mid 50s Friday, Saturday & possibly Sunday nights!  Have the fleeces & blankets ready to go!  The good news about the weekend, though is that it will be nice n' comfy with highs ranging from 70 to 75 with some sun both days which will make it feel a bit warmer than that.  Yes, it will feel nice n' refreshing for sure, which is not such a bad thing after a hot July!  Stay tuned.

Have a great day WNY!
