Ho-Hum for the Next Several Days...

Written by John DiPasquale:

After receiving a good amount of rain the last almost month, the dry times are back for the most part through the weekend.  The weather map above says it all!  There will be a slight risk for a pop-up storm or two, especially Friday & over the weekend, but for the most part even then the weather should be mainly dry region wide & slowly warming, as the late August sun goes to work on the coolish air mass we've had around for the last several days.  Highs will go from the mid 70s today, to near 80 tomorrow, & well into the 80s for the rest of the week & into the weekend, with still an outside chance of 90 on Sunday!  Humidity levels will likely also increase some late this week & even more so over the weekend into the start of next week, before most signs point toward another cool down beyond Monday.

We may even get impacted by the remnants of Isaac, which is in the process of developing as I type east of the Leeward Islands.  This storm could become quite the storm & affect much of Florida late Sunday into early next week.  The rains from the tropical system MAY affect the region, but it depends on how the upper level steering currents set up next week.  Stay tuned to News 8 for updates regarding the evolution & expected track over the next several days.

Have a nice day in the nice weather WNY!
