Average & Wet September; October...??

Written by John DiPasquale:

After a so-so weekend, Saturday definitely being the pick day of the weekend, today will be quite nice for the first day of October with some sun & seasonably mild  temperatures.  Enjoy!  September, as the pic above shows, was finally an average temperature month when all was said & done after so many warmer than average months!  The month began very warm the first week, but the overall temp regime turned cooler during the mid to later half of the month, along with above average rainfall, which was a very good thing!  This new month of October will begin a touch milder than average today, & even warmer over the next few days, before much colder than average air arrives this upcoming holiday weekend, & probably beyond for awhile too.  Highs today & tomorrow will range from the mid to upper 60s, but come Wednesday, Thursday & possibly Friday morning & early afternoon will be in the 70s for highs!  There's even an outside chance of hitting 80+ Wednesday, if there's enough sunshine!  Stay tuned.

Highs come the weekend, though, will tumble back into the 50s with lows in the 30s & low 40s, with even a few flakes possible, mainly over the high terrain later Saturday through early Sunday off the lake!  Between tomorrow & the weekend, there will be a bit of rain from time to time, but there should also be a good amount of dry time.  Tuesday & Wednesday will both feature a few showers/storm, but again there should be lots of dry time too.  Enjoy the milder readings WNY!

Have a great night everyone!
