Not a Bad Weekend on the Way

Written by John DiPasquale:

Much of the next couple of days looks dry until we get to later Sunday & Sunday night when the upper level storm displayed in the pic above slowly moves through.  This will mean some damp weather developing for the Bills Patriots game, Sunday afternoon, but other than that I believe much of the weekend will be dry & cool.  Highs will be within a few degrees of 60 with even some rays of sun Saturday, & maybe a few Sunday morning.

The good news about the upper level storm is that it will pick up the pace later Sunday night into Monday morning & likely get out of here by late Monday morning so we should clear out some & warm up a bit for Monday afternoon, the first day of October!  The warming trend will continue into the middle of next week with more sun Tuesday into Wednesday with highs climbing into the 70s!

Long range data is strongly suggesting a significant chill down for Columbus weekend with MAYBE even the first flakes flying, mainly in the high terrain!  We'll see...it's still a ways out.  Stay tuned throughout the next week for updates.

Fall foliage looks great in the Adirondacks where peak colors are occurring, especially in the high peaks, while there's some nice color developing across areas to the south over the Southern Tier too.  What a great time of year!  Enjoy!

Have a great day & weekend WNY!

  1. Yay for potential first flakes. Hope there are plenty more potential flakes over the next 4 months.
