Mid-Summer Heat Building just South & West

Written by John DiPasquale:

The rains of today & tonight are associated with a disturbance & warm front due to move through tonight.  In the wake of the warm front it will turn breezy to windy, warmer & muggier during the day Wednesday, & for the rest of the week into the start of the weekend.  There will be a few scattered showers and storms around Wednesday, but it should turn mainly dry for Thursday & Friday, as highs soar into the upper 80s to around 90 to round out the week!

At this point, it looks like Saturday will feature a pretty good amount of dry time with a few pop-up showers & storms possible Saturday under more clouds, & then more numerous showers & storms will attempt to build in on Sunday with a slow moving cold front.  The air will cool some Sunday & even more so with drier air moving in early to mid next week.  Stay tuned for updates throughout the next several days.

Have a great day WNY!!

  1. Seeing and hearing the rain falling last night was really refreshing. Watching the rainfall deficit wash away is really taming my flashbacks to last summer. All ready to deal with the heat and humidity, looking forward to more chances of storms this weekend.

If the entire summer goes like this I'll personally have zero complaints.
