Lots of Heat & Humidity this Week!

This week will likely end up being the hottest week of the year, so whatever you have planned out & about hopefully it involves water or another means of staying cool & relaxing, because it will be tough to be out & about, especially during the afternoon & early evening time frame. Highs will be between 90 & 95, with heat indices ranging from 95 to 100 for most of this week, with a spotty shower/storm possible from time to time, but most of each day & everyone will be dry through at least Wednesday/Thursday. A little trough may try to kick up a few more showers & storms Thursday, & then the approach of a strong cold front will likely set off scattered showers & storms later Friday and more numerous ones Saturday. Any storm that pops late this week into Saturday will have the potential to become strong to severe, so keep it here & we'll keep you posted. Temperatures will cool some Saturday & probably significantly come Sunday, when highs may only be in the mid 70s come that point! I'm sure many of you can't wait for that kind of comfort to return.

ReplyDeleteMuggy tonight in the ROC with a dewpoint of 68, but a downright oppressive dewpoint currently at 75 in Buffalo. That's downright tropical for sure, thankfully it didn't occur during the day with temps in the 90s or it would've been dangerous to be outside.
ReplyDeleteDewpoint of 76 at KROC and BUF, 77 at Niagra Falls! These are definitely values that are very rare around these parts. Hope the heat index doesn't reach 105 again tomorrow...
