Tropical Feel Sticks Around Through Wednesday

Written by John DiPasquale:

Very warm & sultry conditions will prevail through Wednesday with highs well into the 80s and dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s!  Yuck!  In my opinion of course!  There will also be a couple of upper air disturbances & weak surface troughs sliding through today & late tonight into Tuesday, which will kick off a scattering a showers & storms during the period.  Any storm/shower that does pop-up today/Tuesday will have the capability to lay down a lot of rain in a short amount of time, likely resulting in a little spotty flash flooding.

On Wednesday, it will turn windy, very warm & muggy with scattered showers & storms around, along with intervals of hazy sun.  Any storm that develops Wednesday or Wednesday night could turn nasty ahead of & with a strong cold front.  Behind the front, it will turn much cooler & less humid with a nice refreshing breeze for Thursday & Friday!!  It will likely turn pretty warm again & a little muggier over the weekend again.  Have a great start to your week WNY!

  1. Yuck should be official meteorologist jargon. I guess I should enjoy the 2.5 day reprieve and be happy about it. Winter solstice is a mere 165 days away.

  2. Many days with no rain is music to my ears. Amen. I think it has rained everyday in Gananda for the last 2 weeks.
