Tropical Feel will Continue through Weekend

Written by John DiPasquale:

South-southwest tropical flow out of the Gulf of Mexico will continue through Friday making for some showers & a few storms at times, especially during the late morning through early evening time frame.  Your 4th or Friday, though, will not be washouts with some decent dry time mixed in there too.  Any storms that do pop-up today right through the holiday weekend could produce a quick inch or two & localized flash flooding like we saw occur in & around the Greater Rochester area late Wednesday.  Highs on the 4th will range from 80 to 85, & probably mid 80s here Friday & solid 80s over the rest of the holiday weekend too with high levels of humidity continuing.

The warm & muggy pattern will persist into much of next week with a few pop-up showers & storms mainly during the midday & afternoon/early evening time frame, & come late next week a cold front will attempt to push through & cool it off a little & dry us out more so.  Time will tell...

Have a great holiday weekend, & just to reiterate I would not go canceling your outdoor plans any day this long holiday weekend!  Just keep an eye to the sky & an umbrella nearby.
