Is This Payback?

Written by: Stacey Pensgen

Another strong area of high pressure moves in for Friday, and lasts through late Sunday, which means another absolutely beautiful weekend. So, the question is: Is this payback (in a good way) for our harsh winter? Or, will there be future payback for this beautiful weather?! So far, this Spring has been rather benign with no huge blasts of heat or nasty severe weather outbreaks. So, at least as far as our weather has been thus far, this is just par for the course!

Sorry, no earth-shattering blog update here, just getting ready to bask in more sunshine this weekend. Get out and enjoy it! And perhaps do some watering!

But yeah, this definitely seems like retribution for the harsh winter we endured. Not too much in the way of widespread unsettled weather over the past few weeks or so, not to mention warmer than normal temps on average in the month of May. One thing I've noticed is that whenever we've gotten thunderstorms they've been of the slow-moving heavy variety more often than not. That seems to have been a consistent theme during the second half of spring.

  2. Yikes there is life here.

The great weather is either payback or the fact that mother nature likes to even things out over time.

Either way I'll take it, because we've had a nice run of weather for the last 2-3 weeks.

  4. I must be living on a different planet. This has ben a wet cloudy spring so far. The weekends have been nice but the weeks have been cloudy and rainy.
