KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCKIN' ON RECORD'S DOOR...

I had to fit in some Guns n' Roses lyrics in there! This is our best shot at tearing down a high temperature record, with Monday's set at 86 in 1990.
The reason is pretty simple. The jetstream is set in an unusually northward location, typically where it would be during the mid to late summer. This allows warm air to creep up into our neck of the woods (sorry to get all Al Roker there), but is also aided by a decent southwest wind ahead of an approaching storm.
So enjoy your very rich taste of summer, as it all comes crashing down by Tuesday with thunderstorms arriving in the afternoon, followed by mid 50s on Wednesday.
Um, Bob Dylan?
ReplyDeleteUm, ya, B.D.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that was before B Metcalf's time?? :)
