GLEN LOOKS GOOD

Written by: Bob Metcalfe

I've been paying particularly close attention to tomorrow afternoon in lieu of the race at the Glen. Simply put, I think things are going to go off without a hitch.

A weak "front" will settle in from the north tonight and Sunday, and will bring with it more clouds and showers. But as of now, I have reason to believe that the focus for the rain and/or storm activity will lie well north of us, along the north shores or over Lake Ontario. The Glen is in a geographically favored southern area, so it will steer clear of these showers. Also, the timing of an early race works in the favor of it as well.

But be ready for the warmth. Sunday isn't hot, but we do jump about 10 degrees back into the 80s, where we establish ourselves for the next week or so. I don't see "big" heat coming back, and if you are a heat lover, this could be one of the last rushes of the warmth. Remember, days are getting shorter and the summer is winding down quickly.

  1. Bob, we don't want summer to end - can't you do something about that?!? Btw, you looked quite handsome on Fox tonight! ;)
