WIDE RANGE OF SNOWFALL FOR MONDAY
Written by: Stacey Pensgen
You probably know that Monday's Presidents' Day storm is another tricky one in terms of precipitation type and snowfall amounts. Here is News 8 Weather's latest snow forecast.
The bulk of the snow will fall overnight Sunday, making Monday morning's commute rather tricky. The good news is we expect very little in the way of sleet mixing in with the snow. The tough part is the tight snowfall gradient that will set up from North to South. In the end, it's a relatively weak event for Monroe County, but those in the Finger Lakes who have been looking for a "bigger" snowfall - enjoy!
Good to see more realistic numbers coming from news 8 in light of the storm track. Other places are still saying 4-8 for the metro. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood to see predicted snow totals going down. Now if only they'd go to zero. Better yet RAIN.
ReplyDeleteNWS still saying 4-7 for Rochester by end of Monday.
ReplyDeleteThe storm does not look impressive at all on radar. Very thin snow shield and kind of broken up.
ReplyDeleteNothing hitting the ground yet but the radar looks impressive. I will enjoy my ride into work tomorrow and look forward to pushing some snow tomorrow night!!
ReplyDeleteStorm is looking weak. Hope we get nothing near the lake.
ReplyDeleteAll I know is im going to be sitting in the sun on South Beach in 2 weeks.
Yeah, I do not think we will even get 2 inches from the way radar looks. Not impressive at all. It is all broken up.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck has happened to DK?
ReplyDeleteDK is around. I have about 1.5" so far here on the east side of the city. Looks like a brief breakup of the snow, then another batch will move in from the west. Heaviest snow will be south of Rochester as Stacey said. Looks like a good shot of snow for the Geneseo / Mt. Morris / Dansville area. 4-8 looks easily attainable there. Probably 3 or 4 inches for the Rochester metro.
ReplyDeleteLess than 4 inches in the hills north of Dansville. Another wimpy storm. I'm ready for spring.
