MARCH COMES IN LIKE A LAMB NOT LION
Written by: Brian Neudorff
For those of you tired of winter and longing for spring, today starts the first day of Meteorological Spring, and of course many of you have heard of March coming "in like a lion and out like a lamb." Today it looks like March is more of a lamb with sunshine and seasonal temperatures.
A cold front will sweep across the region Wednesday morning. It will be windy with some snow showers. I don't see a lot of snow with the front but a nice blast of cold. As Scott pointed out as cold air filters in and our lows reach the single digits Thursday morning there could be some lake flakes Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
The next system lifts a warm front across the region Friday into Saturday. Like Scott, I don't look at this storm as much of anything for snow. Warmer temperatures Friday into Saturday. Rain mostly changing over to snow into Sunday with gusty winds.
That picture is absolutely adorable! Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteOff of google - Brian
ReplyDeleteIT THINK WE HAVE DEFINATELY TURNED THE CORNER ON WINTER. WE ARE BACK IN THAT PATTERN OF STORMS GOING TO OUR WEST.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction for March at least 25" of snow and temps 2 degrees below normal. The ground hog is wrong. Been bad and will stay so.
ReplyDeleteWondering what DK thinks about the storm this Sunday? Doesn't the euro give out a great deal of precipatation for many areas in Ohio and NY? However think it is rain for us if I am reading the data correctly. Just wondering what DK and Scott think.
ReplyDeleteI think its funny that you used that picture for the beginning of last March to.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good picture so why not. Plus the others I looked for on Google Images didn't stand out like that one. Thanks - Brian
ReplyDeleteHow come the lion isn't trying to eat the lamb? They must get along.
ReplyDeleteNo, the lion isn't hungry. They probably fed him a cow before setting up the picture.
ReplyDeleteI think the lion is just as cute as the lamb. Can't say that everyday!
ReplyDeleteBrian,
ReplyDeleteYour lamb/lion picture has turned out to be a big hit on this relatively quiet weather day. Does it come in poster form? I would totally put it up in my dorm room!
Can not believe how dead this blog is right now.
