Chilly Today, BUT...
Written by John DiPasquale:
Ok. It will be another unseasonably chilly day on this Friday, with a couple of spotty snow & rain showers, mainly south of Rochester. Temperatures will be peaking out in the mid to maybe upper 40s, as the clouds will cap the highs.
A warm front & upper disturbance will aid in triggering some rain & a few t-storms late tonight & into tomorrow morning. After 9 or 10am the warm front will be through & the sun will come out & temperatures will jump well into the 60s to around 70 with a gusty southwest wind for our Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the same storm that will warm us up tomorrow will drag a cold front through here Saturday night. This will lead to a cooler, but mainly dry Easter Sunday. There will be a couple of spotty sprinkles/shower around on Sunday, especially south of the Thruway. All in all, I believe that it will be mainly dry for any egg hunts & other activities you may have planned with the family & kids for the holiday Sunday. You'll just need the fleece/spring jackets when your out Sunday, as highs will be in the 50s.
Still appears that much warmer weather will move in Tuesday & stick around through at least part of Thursday, before we cool off for the end of next week. We'll see. Things should really begin blossoming by the end of next week with the off & on rains & warmer temperatures during the days & nights.
Have a great day & holiday weekend everyone!
This rain is unbelievable. I think we are going to have to build an ark. The NWS states that we will heavy rain Monday and Monday night and then again on Wednesday. This is really getting old.
ReplyDeleteI had another inch of rain this morning.
ReplyDeleteYes, the rain is getting old! Give us a break mother nature. Unfortunately, the pattern does not really lend itself to that, but at this point it appears that the start of this upcoming weekend will at least be nice. We'll see. Enjoy the warm up tomorrow & Wednesday, despite having to dodge some of the showers & storms, especially later in the day.
