THE GRASS WILL SOON BE GREENER!

Written By: Scott Hetsko

High pressure building South from Central Canada will insure some nice weather for us through much of Saturday. Clearing sky overnight will mean some patchy fog is likely South by Thursday morning.

Sunshine and low 50s in Rochester Thursday but a lake breeze will develop off of Lake Ontario around midday. Temperatures will stay in the 40s within a mile or two of the lake during the afternoon. Milder weather will surge into town ahead of a strong storm early next week. Depending on how much sun around here on Sunday, 70 degrees is likely!

  1. Speaking of greener grass, does anybody know when the best time is to apply grass seed? I have a lot of bare patches on my lawn from the winter.

  2. I would say the best time to plant would be within the next couple weeks. Just make sure that if we get a dry spell,(which looks highly unlikely) to water the seed generously. If you plan on tilling up the patches first, I would plant within a day or so after tilling.

  4. Scott, I know that it will stay cooler down here by the lake today, but how about Sunday and Monday when 70s are predicted? Will we see any of that warm air in Hilton, or should we count on being much cooler then too?

    Thanks!
