Here Comes the Sun!

Written by John DiPasquale:

A cold front has passed & a cooler, drier air mass is now blowing in from the west northwest. I expect increasing sun from here on out through the rest of today. It should look & feel great this afternoon! Enjoy! Temperatures will ease back into the low to mid 60s between now & dinner too.

High pressure crest over the region late tonight & early Wednesday setting the stage for a cool, starry night.

Tomorrow looks great & will be the pick day of the week with lots of sun to start, but clouds will increase later tomorrow afternoon into the evening, but we will stay dry through our Wednesday.

The cold front moving through now will be brought back to the north as a warm front by a storm system currently developing across the Southern Plains. The warm front will move in & through tomorrow night into early Thursday with a few showers & storms. Behind the warm front it will be kind of steamy with much higher humidity levels & temperatures that could hit 80 or higher if we get some sun, which is looking more & more likely Thursday. Of course if we get some sun & temperatures hitting 80 or higher, the threat of severe t-storms will go up. Something that will have to be watched. Unfortunately, it appears that the storm system & the warm front will become stationary nearby right through Saturday & possibly Sunday. If this is the case, there will be scattered showers & storms each day through at least Sunday. Either way, though, not one over the holiday weekend will be a washout & at this point Memorial Day looks like the best with some sun & cooler temperatures. Stay tuned for updatest regarding the all important holiday weekend throughout the rest of this week.
