WEATHER HAS A BALANCE
Written By: Scott Hetsko
The last significant rain fell in Rochester 8 days ago with 0.73" on May 3rd. We have enjoyed a long and well timed period of very dry weather and sunshine. Everything has a way of balancing out and the shift back to clouds and rain begins over the weekend. Low pressure will be cut off from the main jetstream begining on Saturday. The resulting weather for us is occasional rain, cooler days and only limited sun. Timing of course isn't good with the Lilac festival beginning on Friday. A return to nice weather won't occur until sometime in the middle of next week. Get outside and enjoy Thursday!
Rain or not, i'm still going to the Lilac Festival this weekend. The BIG difference is that it will be noticably warmer compared to the last rainy episodes when we stayed in the 40's all day long. That's the difference between a true springtime rain and an early November rain! I'll take the first one.
