Clouds will Slowly Part

Written by John DiPasquale:

Windy & cool with quite a few clouds around today should give way to at least a few breaks of sun to finish out today, as drier begins to take over. Highs today, with a gusty west wind, will only reach the upper 60s to around 70.

High pressure will begin to take control of our weather tonight & really right through the rest of the week. This will equal great weather tomorrow & Friday! There should be a good deal of sun both Thursday & Friday thanks to high pressure, & with the strong late June temperatures will respond & jump well into the 70s tomorrow & should crack the 80 away from the big lake Friday.

A more significant warm up should occur this holiday weekend as a warm front attempts to move through Saturday with a few scattered showers & storms, but there should not be too many around. There may be a pop up storm or two Sunday & the 4th too, but overall most of the holiday weekend looks dry & quite toasty & muggy. This is great news for all of you that have outdoor plans this 4th of July weekend! Stay tuned to News 8 for any changes that might occur between now & the weekend to the forecast as new data becomes available.
