Spectacular Today!

Written by John DiPasquale:

What you see on the left from the Skyeye is what you are going to get for the most part throughout this Thursday, the last day of June. I know hard to believe that June is basically in the books. It was a very dry month, which is a good thing considering it was the second wettest spring on record here in Rochester. Enjoy all the sun out there today & tomorrow, but remember to throw the sunscreen on. Those sun rays will toast you quickly if you venture out for any 15 to 30 minute intervals. High pressure providing the sun today will remain in control of our weather right through Friday. Temperatures will be a handful of degrees warmer tomorrow than today, as many of us will reach the low 80s. Lake shore communities tomorrow will peak out in the mid 70s due to a cool refreshing lake breeze.

The holiday weekend as of now is actually looking better with mainly dry, warm weather expected. The only fly that appears to be in the ointment would be a warm & cold front passing through Saturday & Saturday night, respectively. The warm front will have some cloudiness with it & could very well trigger a few widely scattered storms Saturday when it moves through, but much of the day should be dry with some hazy sun. Highs Saturday will likely climb well into the 80s with quite a bit of humidity developing during the day. Saturday night the forementioned cold front will blow through with a few scattered showers & storms & behind the front, a drier & cooler air mass will move in for Sunday & the holiday itself on Monday. Highs Sunday will range from 80 to 85, while we should be close to 80 for the 4th with low humidity & a pretty good breeze blowing both days. Enjoy the great weather through the holiday weekend everyone! Stay tuned to News 8 for the latest forecast regarding the sweet summery weather right through the weekend.
