Damp End to the Day?

Written by John DiPasquale:

Good morning WNY! It's pretty nice out there now, but the clouds will increase & thicken later today, which should lead to a few showers & maybe a storm late this afternoon into tonight. The culprit is some upper level energy and a weakening surface storm moving through the lower Great Lakes. The rain should not add up to a whole lot through tomorrow, but if you do have plans to attend the Red Wings game or Party in the Park this evening I would advise you to bring an umbrella.

This storm will slowly pull away later Friday & Friday night setting the stage for a pretty nice, mainly dry weekend.

The weekend still looks good, but maybe not quite as nice as it looked the last couple days. At this point, it appears we will see a fair amount of sun both days. However, the combination of daytime heating & a bit of lingering low moisture could set off a shower or two over the weekend. Most of us will stay dry though through the weekend, which is great for everyone that has outdoor plans with dad. High temperatures will be in the low 80s Saturday & low to mid 80s on Father's Day.

Next week will likely heat up into the mid 80s Monday, & to around 90 or so for the first day of summer Tuesday. Some cooling will likely occur late next week.

Have a nice day everyone!
