Dry Weather Continues for Most Today
Written by John DiPasquale:
Well, a few of us, mainly south & east of the Rochester area may get a little wet today, but I believe most of the region will stay dry. A weak cold front passing by later today & early tonight with most of it's energy moving to the north will try to pull a bit of moisture to the northeast ahead of it, but likely will not have too much success in doing so here in WNY.
Behind the front late today into tonight the sky will clear out as high pressure will build in from the Upper Great Lakes. This will set the stage for abundant sun & seasonably warm temperatures tomorrow. Great stuff!!
On Sunday, high pressure will slowly drift to the east & because of that we will begin to feel the effects of a warming southerly flow Sunday afternoon. Highs Sunday should be in the mid to upper 80s with a decent amount of sun to boot. Yes, Sunday will be a day in which you will want to be in the pool/lake to stay cool.
Early next week a strong cold front will be approaching later Monday, but not before we experience highs around 90 with a few widely scattered showers & storms developing later in the day. At this point, it looks like the cold front will come through late Monday night/early Tuesday with a few more scattered storms & behind it a much more refreshing air mass will begin to blow in Tuesday. After feeling highs in the low to mid 80s Tuesday with a gusty wind, we should get no higher than the mid to upper 70s Wednesday & Thursday next week with lots of sun & low humidity levels. Stay tuned for updates to this forecast through the weekend & into the start of next week.
Have a great Friday & weekend all!
