Few Showers & Storms Southeast of Rochester

Written by John DiPasquale:

A few scattered showers & storms popped up, mainly just south & east of Rochester, as expected late this morning into the early afternoon & should quickly dissipate moving forward through the afternoon behind an upper air disturbance & weak cold front. It will be windy & refreshing with temperatures within a few degrees of 80 & some sun. Enjoy!

High pressure will settle in tonight into Wednesday & set us up for the best day of the week tomorrow with sun & seasonable warmth. Highs tomorrow will be in the low 80s.

A warm front will deliver a few scattered showers & storms Thursday & more in the way of humidity & warmth. Behind the warm front on Friday we should spike into the low 90s with some sun & a slight risk for a storm or two ahead of weak cold front.

The weekend right now appears very warm, but quite nice with high pressure basically in control & pretty good deal of sun expected both Saturday & Sunday. There may be an isolated pop up storm or two Saturday, but otherwise more dry weather seems to be in store, which is great news for your outdoor plans, but again not for the lawns & farmers.

Have a great day & enjoy the cooler, more comfortable air through the start of our Thursday everyone!

  1. Picked up about 1/4" of rain this morning at my house. Had dime sized hail stones as well.

  2. Thanks Sal! No rain in Rochester points west, but at least areas south & east of Rochester got some. Bigger than quarter sized stones were falling from the sky in Newark at around 1115 yesterday morning! Crazy stuff! Enjoy the great day today Sal!
