Great Weather Beat Continues!

Written by John DiPasquale:

The overall trend of dry, sunny weather continues on this Tuesday as you can see the image captured from Skyeye this morning.

High pressure positioned just off to the south & west will keep us nice, warm & sunny today. Highs will make the mid 80s with fairly low humidity levels.

Tonight clouds will slowly increase in advance of a slow moving cold front. Temperatures & humidity levels will be higher than last night. Lows should be in the low to mid 60s & dew points will likely also be in the low to mid 60s.

On Wednesday, the slow moving cold front will cross the area with some clouds & a few scattered showers & storms likely popping up. Any storm that does develop tomorrow COULD be strong to severe, something we will definitely have to watch here in the News 8 Weather Center.

Behind tomorrow's cold front, the air will turn a bit cooler & less humid setting the stage for an awesome day Thursday & Friday. Highs Thursday will be in the low 80s, & low to mid 80s Friday with a good deal of sun.

A weak south-southwesterly will likely develop over the weekend warming temperatures up further & also leading to higher humidity levels, especially by Sunday. At this point, the weekend looks mainly dry, pretty sunny & very warm. This is just what you want to see/hear if you have plans to hit the pool &/or beach this weekend! Stay tuned to News 8 for the latest updates through the rest of this week regarding the great summery weather over the next several days to come!

  2. Hope it stays dry. After that miserable spring and winter we earned this. Largest fresh water reservoir in the world is just north of here so who cares. Doubt there is any hint of water problems with all that fell here since last year. My sump is still full and it shouldn't be by now which tells me there is plenty of water still in the ground.
Looking forward to a week or two with no lawn mowing.
    Think DRY !!!!!!

  3. I hear you guys! I think we've earned this long dry stretch of weather & I say keep it coming too. It's great to be able to make outdoor plans & actually keep them & not move them inside or have to cancel them. Yes, having a week or two off from mowing is always a good thing too! I totally agree Anonymous. It's always a balance act that mother nature tries to play out, so in the end more often than not it all does even out in the end.

Have a great day & enjoy the mainly dry weather between now & the start of next week!
