OFFICIALLY 98 BUT OVER 100 FOR MANY!

Written By: Scott Hetsko

This is the hottest day since 1993 for Rochester and for many decades in other towns across the Northeast! We've have had numerous reports of 100 to 110 degree temperatures although not all of them are accurate.

This is dangerous heat and it will continue Friday although not quite as hot. We do expect to be between 90 and 95 degrees tomorrow. Cooler somewhat air returns Sunday and next week.

  1. Hey Scott, some of the other channels are talking abut 90's returning by next Thursday. Do you see that as well. It still looks like no significat rain for the next 7-10 days. Not good!!!!

  2. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING. THE NWS HAS PLACED ALMOST ALL OF WNY UNDER, INLUDING BUFFALO, IN A D0-ABNORMALY DRY STATUS EXCEPT FOR THE ROCHESTER AREA. WE ARE ABOUT 4 INCHES BELOW NORMAL FOR JUNE AND JULY, BUFFALO IS ONLY 1 INCH BELOW NORMAL. THIS DOS NOT MAKE SENSE. CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN? WHERE I LIVE IN GANANDA WE ARE ABOUT 5 INCHES BELOW NORMAL WITH LAWNS THAT LOOK MORE LIKE PHEONIX, AZ. WHERE IS THEIR THINKING COMING FROM?
