AM Sun to More PM Clouds
Written by John DiPasquale:
Lots of sun, as displayed on the Skyeye shot to the left, started our day & week off on the right foot. Unfortunately, the end of the day will not look nearly as nice due to the approach of a weakening cold front from the west. Clouds will increase & cause the sun to fade away during the midday & afternoon. By days end, there could be a couple of showers/sprinkles in the area, but most of this Monday will be dry. It will also become windy & a bit milder compared to this past weekend, as highs will be in the upper 60s to around 70.
Later this evening & overnight we will have some rain & possibly an embedded t-storm drift through. The weak cold front will sneak through during the early to mid morning before completely falling apart during the day Tuesday just off to our east. After a gloomy, damp start to tomorrow, we should clear it out some with breaks of sun developing for the afternoon. Highs tomorrow should make the low 70s with the help of some sun later in the day.
Tuesday night into Wednesday morning should be quiet & seasonable, but during the afternoon there is a possibility of a couple spotty showers/storm popping up. Wednesday looks to be the warmest day of the week with highs likely hitting the mid to upper 70s.
The next weather maker, a cold front, will probably affect us Thursday with a few showers/storm, & behind it temperatures will cool out of the 70s & back into the 60s for highs Friday into the much of the upcoming weekend. Of course, Autumn begins early Friday at 5:04AM so I guess it will be fitting for us to be cooling back into the 60s. There likely will be a few scattered showers & wind around Friday, but still a lot up in the air for the weekend. At this point, it appears that there will be a lot of dry time this weekend, but there may be a passing shower or two, especially Sunday. Stay tuned through the week for the latest regarding the end of Summer & start of Autumn forecast.
Have a great start to the week all!
Is Friday going to be a washout?
