Clouds to Sun Today!

Written by John DiPasquale:

Low clouds are slow to depart on this Tuesday, but confident they will break up & slide east & lead to some nice sun this afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the low 70s with the help of the sun later today.

High pressure providing us with the clearing sky this afternoon will keep us quiet through the first part of Wednesday, before more clouds develop & the possibility of a spotty shower/storm or two arrives tomorrow afternoon in advance of a weakening cold front. It appears showers & a couple of storms will become more numerous Wednesday night & taper off Thursday morning, as the weak cold front sneaks through & falls apart just to the east. There will likely be some sun tomorrow & intervals of sun that should develop Thursday after a gloomy start. Tomorrow will likely be the warmest day, with highs warming well into the 70s, while low to mid 70s will be felt the last official day of Summer Thursday.

The beginning of Fall at 5:04am Friday will probably start off mainly quiet, but somewhat unsettled with some showers/storm developing. Temperatures will peak in the upper 60s to around 70.

The storm system repsonsible for the rains Friday will shift to the northeast & we should be left with intervals of sun both Saturday & Sunday with just a passing pop up shower or two possible through the weekend. Highs are expected to be in the low 70s or so for the first weekend of Autumn, which is not bad. An upper level storm will be off to the west & should start to inch closer Sunday & especially Monday, which will ultimately lead to some rain. We'll see how this times out. Stay tuned to News 8 through the rest of the week for the latest.
