Three Named Storms Spinning
You can certainly tell we've reached the peak of the Atlantic Hurricane season, as 3 named storms are spinning away. As the remnants of Lee produce historical flooding in the Northeast and even into eastern New York State, Hurricane Katia will NOT affect the U.S. She will take a turn to the north and east, away from land.
Tropical Storm Maria is sitting in the central Atlantic, and is expected to affect portions of the Caribbean as a Tropical Storm. Nate - also a tropical storm is strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico and could become a hurricane. Nate will hang out in the Gulf for a while, then move into Mexico and possibly bring some rain to southern Texas.
