Wet going, White coming home

Written by: Scott Hetsko

Not only do you need to worry about $3.30 gasoline, weather will be a concern heading on the highways Wednesday. A strong cold front will be slowly moving in our direction. Rain will first develop West of Rochester before noon Wednesday and then spread East through the afternoon. Roads will be wet especially for those headed West during the day. If you're coming home or shopping Friday, areas of lake effect snow will become the issue. Two bands of snow will develop: One from Cleveland toward Dunkirk and the other from about Rochester East past Syracuse. Several inches of snow will fall within localized snow bands. Take it easy on the thruway on Black Friday and have a safe Thanksgiving!
